Dr. Gale Gorke, founder of Kids Kan, Inc., is coming back to Arizona for another engaging workshop series! Dr. Gorke has served as a District Coordinator for afterschool programs in California, has over 25 years of teaching at both the elementary and secondary levels, and has a Doctorate in Curriculum and Instruction with focus on academic intervention. Dr. Gorke was the Keynote Speaker at the 2011 Arizona Statewide Afterschool Conference and has facilitated numerous inspiring workshops with AzCASE!

Take-aways
Participants will gain a better understanding of how to set boundaries: understanding the distinction between friend and teacher/mentor roles. Walk away with techniques to manage inappropriate outbursts and disrespectful behaviors and fun behavior management techniques to use within limited time restraints.

Growth and development; (infant growth and development, developmental psychology, language development, observation and child assessment, developmentally-appropriate activities, child guidance and methods, developmentally-appropriate activity areas).
