Regional Coalitions

Get Involved in Your Regional School-Age Coalition!
The Arizona Center for Afterschool Excellence currently has six regional coalitions that promote the mission and activities of the state coalition, provide local level training opportunities, advocate for school-age care issues, and coordinate networking opportunities for school-age care professionals so that they can share resources, ideas, and best practices. Volunteer coordinators in each of the six regions schedule monthly, bi-monthly, or quarterly networking meetings, offer periodic trainings for school-age staff and administrators and, in some regions, organize an annual training conference. Funding for these networking meetings and trainings is provided by the Center through grants from the Governor's Office for Children, Youth, and Families and the C.S. Mott Foundation.

While not every region of the state is currently served, the Center's Board of Directors is seeking to expand the number of regions to provide easy access to these trainings and conferences in all areas of Arizona. Contact us if you want to start a regional coalition in your area.
