Resources for Families
Finding and choosing an afterschool program can often be overwhelming for families. Here are some resources to help:
The AzAfterschool Directory on this website is a resource to assist you to find before school, after school and summer programs for your children. We believe that it is both important for families to have access to quality out-of-school time programs for their children, and that families are aware of the variety of programs available to choose from. The
AzAfterschool Directory offers information on licensed, license-exempt, for profit and nonprofit school-age programs. While many programs are offered at school sites, they are not necessary operated by the school district.
Only programs or centers who offer programming for school-age children before school, afterschool and during the summer are represented on the map. If your family also needs care for younger children, be aware that some programs offer before & afterschool opportunities for three and four-year-olds attending their Pre-School and Pre-Kindergarten programs. Please check with the before and afterschool program where your children attend school.
Another resource for families seeking child care for younger children in Arizona is the Child Care Resource & Referral (CCR&R) website at
www.azchildcare.org.
